Is Vitamin E really helps to treat your scars?
I came across one of the research articles from US National Library of Medicine. In their study, they are trying to determine whether vitamin E has any effect on the cosmetic appearance of scars as suggested by multiple anectodal reports. But the outcome of their study is d vitamin E does not help in improving the cosmetic appearance of scars whereas it leads to a high incidence of contact dermatitis. There is another study by Morganroth, Wilmot and Miller in Philadelphia for a 2009 issue of the “Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology” determined that scar products containing vitamin E oil did not support usage for the reduction of postoperative scar formation.
In conclusion, although there are many articles out there saying that Vitamin E able to treat your scars but the recent research studies as proved that Vitamin E will not help to treat your scars.
